ALABAMA ECO ADVENTURES

DECATUR, AL

ESTABLISHED: 2003

TOTAL PAID STAFF: 4

I’ve actually not yet met owner Jay Grantland of Alabama Eco Adventures in person, but when I was planning to thru-hike the Pinhoti – AT, he graciously offered to let me park my van in his back 40 for the several months it would take me to complete my hike. How cool is that?! I can’t wait to get down to Alabama to take one of his water trips – most of my public lands experience has been on the ground, and his operation looks like a wonderful way to get out and try some of the water-based activities that are possible due to river access from public lands!
